I was experimenting with getting a shot of my class ring. Finally found about as close a setting to getting a true image as is probably possible with my particular equipment. It is a 3-1/2 carat Siberian Aquamarine faceted on the top and Fire Ray cut on the bottom. In the Fire Ray cut, the stone is polished in concentric rings like a fresnel lens which causes the prism-like flashes of rainbow colors. It was a custom job, and probably not many exactly like it.

This is my brother’s class ring. It is time for me to order mine so i thought i would take a look at his to see what options i have.
